Alexa Green is a former American journalist ( news reporter). Currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer at IMPD News. IMPD(Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department). Prior to joining IMPD, Alexa served as the morning reporter for FOX59 and CBS 4. She was based in Indianapolis. Green joined the station’s news team in June 2017.
Alexa served as a reporter for Spectrum News based in Binghamton as well as Syracuse New York. This was before relocating to Indiana. While there, she covered stories in some of the Snowiest cities in the country.

As above stated currently Alexa serves as the Chief Communications Officer at ImpdNews ( Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department). Assuming her new role in June 2021. This was after four years of working the morning shift for Fox59 and CBS4.
Alexa said “In this role, I’m going to bring a new perspective to IMPD. I’m going to bring a new perspective to the department and to the officers just about media relations since I’ve been in the newsroom.” This was as she was assuming her current role.
Further, she promised to improve communication and transparency both within IMPD and between police and the community. Beautifully referring to her new position as “a tremendous opportunity,” An opportunity that she couldn’t turn down.
Adding that her experience working as a morning news reporter made clear to her the impact IMPD has on Indianapolis. After praising IMPD officers, she said there is still room for improvement in transparency from police to the public.

Alexa served as the morning reporter for FOX59 and CBS 4 based in Indianapolis. Leaving her journalism role after four years of working the morning shift for Fox59 and CBS4 to become the Chief Communications Officer at ImpdNews ( Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department). Prior to joining Fox59, Alexa reported for Spectrum News based in Binghamton as well as Syracuse New York.
Green conducted dozens of stories and even carried out exclusive interviews. The most memorable interview was one with David Sweat’s mother ( a prison escapee ). She spoke with her just hours
after her son David was captured alive.
The outstanding stories on a fatal fire that consumed two young children as well as the tragic murder of a 21-month old won Alex an AP award. This crowns her works.
