Chris accepted his first position as an afternoon news reporter at WMAZ AM/WAYS FM radio. Chris went to the TV side of the building about 9 months later to work as a reporter and weather anchor for WMAZ-TV.
Chris gained experience in every facet of TV news reporting while working at WMAZ-TV. He was a fill-in anchor, weekend weather anchor, and fill-in weather anchor for the weekday morning and evening newscasts. He also shot and edited his own reports and covered the Legislature.
