Former 19 Action News reporter Ed Gallek is recovering from having brain surgery. Doctors at the Cleveland Clinic removed a two-inch growth behind his ear Wednesday. The surgery lasted nearly 14 hours. They got most of the tumor but not all because it was too close to facial nerves and they’ll just have to keep watching it. They believe the growth is non-cancerous.
