Emily Wilson born in 1971 is a British classicist and author. Wilson works as a professor of Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2017 she became the first lady to publish a translation of Homer’s Odyssey into English.
Moreover, Wilson has authored five books. She is a proofreader for The Times Literary Supplement, the London Review of Books, and The New Republic. She is also the classic editor for The Norton Anthology of World Literature and The Noorton Annthoton of Western Literature.
