Jeff is a well-known American journalist and an award-winning who has been broadcasting the news in Portland for more than 36 years. He served as a news intern at KGTV while attending San Diego State. Later on, he was hired by the station for a full-time job.

He served his way up from a grip hauling news equipment, to assignment editor, news writer, and producer, and worked with some of the legends in local television news.

He took a cut in pay to become a news reporter at KEYT in Santa Barbara in 1980 where he was an award-winning reporter and part of the local press corps covering President Ronald Reagan at the ranch.
