The show ended in June 2018 after 11 years on the air. Scott served as the host of the Fox News Watch program, which was replaced by Howard Kurtz’s Media Buzz in September 2013 and had a similar premise. America’s Newsroom, a morning program on Fox News Channel, will now air for three hours instead of two. Starting on June 11, the show hosted by Bill Hemmer and Sandra Smith will air from 9 am to noon ET, taking Happening Now’s place, which will no longer air.
Since America’s Newsroom’s debut in 2009, Hemmer, a ten-year FNC veteran, has served as its anchor. Last year, Smith, who got her start at FBN in 2007, joined Hemmer as co-anchor. Along with co-hosting Outnumbered since its debut in 2014, Smith will stop doing so as America’s Newsroom grows.
