American journalist Scott Padgett works as the chief meteorologist for KTVT CBS 11 in Dallas. In September 2013, he began working for the station as a morning and noon meteorologist. In August 2016, he was given the opportunity to become the chief meteorologist.

He was the chief meteorologist at KOKH Fox 25 in Oklahoma City before that. Scott was always fascinated by the weather, but from the time he was three years old until about the age of 12, he was terrified of it. He and his father used to spend hours observing the approaching storms from the front porch of their house.
