Sylvia Perez is an American Journalist and news anchor. Since October 2016, she has been anchoring the weekday editions and special segments of Good Day Chicago on WFLD-TV. Before joining WFLD-TV in Chicago, she co-anchored the 11 AM newscast on Chicago’s WLS-TV alongside Linda Yu from 1989 until 2013.

Perez knew she wanted to be a reporter at the age of ten. She joined FOX 32 News in 2016. Before that, she was a longtime anchor and medical reporter at WLS ABC7.
