Wolf Blitzer is an American journalist, television news anchor, and author. He started his journalism career at CNN in 1990. Currently, he serves as one of the principal anchors at the network. Wolf is also the host of The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer and until 2021, served as the network’s lead political anchor.
Wolf started his journalism career in the early 1970s, in the Tel Aviv bureau of the Reuters news agency. He covered both American politics and developments in the Middle East. Wolf became a White House correspondent in CNN in 1992 a position he hold until 1999.

Wolf served as moderator for the CNN Republican Presidential Primary Debates in Las Vegas in 2016. He was pivotal to CNN’s election coverage throughout America’s Choice 2012, serving as lead anchor on key primary nights, caucus nights, and the Emmy award-winning election night.
