Morris’ first job in TV came while he was still in council, serving as an intern news pen in Norfolk, Virginia. After serving in the council, he used to act as a courier with the White House press fraternity and worked his way up to cameraman.

1980s, Morris left the press fraternity and worked as a profitable development specialist with Prince George’s County in Maryland. In 1987, he switched to the U.S.  In 1993, Morris began working as an informant for America’s Most Wanted. After three occasions of working on the show, the administrative producer of the show tapped him to serve as an on-air correspondent for a murder case.

He continued working on the air for the show through 2011. In 2016, producers from Live PD reached out to Morris to ask him to join Dan Abrams as co-host. Morris’s history with AMW meant that each episode of Live PD would regularly include an individual from Wanted, starting with the first season of the former series.

During season 2, Morris teamed up with Angeline Hartmann( who had also worked at AMW) at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to develop a regular” Missing” segment as part of the program.
